What Do Video Surveillance, Work From Home Jobs and Cheap Term Life Insurance Have in Common?

We all agree that the Internet is all about finding the right products and services that we are looking to purchase, finding useful and accurate information to meet our insatiable need for information for work and play, and maybe even work from home jobs. But regarding how you search and which search engine you use, we often are mystified. The search phrases you use and varying the search engines you use are critical in finding the elusive information you desire.
Google, Yahoo! and Bing - Sounds Like a Comedy Team
Searching on video surveillance will bring up many sites for you to peruse at your leisure. Google is now the most popular search engine (and you can tell this by their soaring stock prices), but there are other very useful systems such as Yahoo! and Bing that can be used for searches, and these often will bring up different results even though you have searched on the same exact phrase as Google. And of course, doing a search on surveillance system will bring up much different results than searching on video surveillance. Similarly, doing a search in the same browser with the term cheap term life insurance will bring up different results than a search for life insurance quote online. You will also note that there are different paid advertisers for very similar searches. You can see these advertisers in the area at the top of your browser screen and to the right. Using the Google search engine, these are listed as "Sponsored Links." At the top, the background color for these sponsored links is yellow, while to the right there is a vertical line running down the length of your screen, and the sponsored links are to the right of this line. The sponsored link ads are paid advertising to the browser company. In Google, these are called AdWords, and eCommerce companies bid on AdWords keywords and attempt to get listed at the top of the page.
Try Narrowing Your Search
Again, if you cannot find the product, service or information you are looking for, try a different search engine. Also, try mixing up your search phrases as this will make a large difference. Instead of searching on "video production," try searching on "corporate video production" to narrow your results to just what you are looking for. Because a search on "furniture" will yield many thousands of results that may waste your time looking through the results, be more specific, such as searching for "unfinished furniture" or "leather furniture." If you are looking for "work from home jobs," also try searching on "internet home business," "business opportunity leads," or "legitimate work from home jobs." Varying the search terms to exactly what you want will bring you better results and save you an incredible amount of time.
