So, you are deciding if you want to start a home based business. A book I read called The Traveler's Gift by Andy Andrews helped me to make my decision and prepared me for what lie ahead. I thought I would share it with you and it will help you too.
In the book a man named David Ponder who was experiencing very difficult times, no work, no money, no insurance, sick children, crashed his car. Upon waking up he was traveling through time to meet seven different people. One of the individuals he met was Abraham Lincoln. Abraham Lincoln's message was:
"I will forgive those that do not ask for it." Basically, this meant get rid of the old baggage by forgiving those that you are angry at. Do not waste your time and energy being angry or by waiting for them to ask for forgiveness. By forgiving them you are giving them and yourself a gift to move on with your life. It is time to move forward. So, if you would like to make money from home working smarter not harder on step is to start fresh with no anger lingering from the past.
"I will forgive those that criticize me unjustly." Everyone is criticized. If you are not criticized you are not doing anything. Ignore and forgive those individuals that criticize your decisions, but stay the course. Decide to move forward or not in your new home based business, but do it because it is your decision. Know that you will be criticized one way or the other.
"I will forgive myself." Most importantly, we have all made mistakes. Furthermore, we continue to make mistakes. Forgive yourself and know that you are doing the best that you can. Move forward. You may have tried another home based business before. Did you fail? Did you follow the directions? Forgive yourself, move on, try again.
"I will greet the day with a forgiving spirit." If you are deciding to start your own home based business begin by forgiving yourself and others and starting fresh. Make a decision to move forward.
